Jan Parish

For me the most magnificent region in the whole of our country is The Kimberley. The land emanates an inexplicable power that I find irresistible. I came to live here from Brisbane 10 years ago.  I had made a pact with myself that at 55 I would retire from my Nature Publishing Company and take up painting full time, The Kimberley was where I chose to be, to fulfil my dream.

I have travelled extensively throughout the region, and the beauty and magic of the land keeps intensifying.

My desire is to express my love for nature, to tell its stories and share through my paintings what it offers me, for mind body and soul.

In my work I strive to express that connectedness and draw upon a deep understanding and experience of nature to inform my work.
